Really though, one of the biggest pains (other than carrying water) for me when I want to run away from home (that sounds funny doesn't it?) is all the stuff I need when I am running. All the Glide in the world can't make the arm bands comfortable during a 6 mile run. This is why I have found such a love for the SPI Belts that were so generously donated to all the Ruby Red Runners for the relay.
At first look, the SPI Belts do not really seem large enough to hold all the items mentioned above but it is a bit like magic and as you put each of the items in the belt, it stretches more and more. Plus each belt has a very comfortable and adjustable waist band with a sturdy clip. The belt stays neatly in place.
SPI Belts sent me six of their reflective belts for the relay race. At first the girls were a little skeptical about their use but by the end of the race, they all were talking about how much they liked them. I have been using mine for my everyday runs to hold my Ipod. I just run my headphones up through the zipper and it works great. Not to mention that my Runkeeper app works great in the pouch.
SPI Belts come in a ton of fun colors and they recently introduced a SPI Band that can be worn on the wrist or ankle. They also have accessories like bib toggles and lanyards. Check out their website today. Oh and another cool thing...SPI Belts were made by a women and produced right here in the USA!
Disclaimer: The Ruby Red Runners were provided a set of belts for our race. I was not required to write a post but did so because I absolutely believe in this product. I only post my honest opinions. This blog is in no way affiliated with Twitter, Facebook or any other social network.
